Latisse® “Not Enough lashes? GROW them!”

Latisse LogoLatisse® is a prescription topical solution to treat hypotrichosis. Hypotrichosis is the medical term for inadequate or not enough lashes. In addition to growing eyelashes, Latisse® can make the eyelashes fuller and darker, but will return to normal if treatment is discontinued.

The prescription is applied topically once a day, gradual results ensure, and in about four weeks, a very noticeable result will be seen, with significant results in two months. The application requires that you are consistent and precise, but will be demonstrated to you in the office, so you leave feeling comfortable with home application.

There are can be mild complications with Latisse®, therefore, you should disclose any allergies, any eye pressure problems, any medication for those problems, or high risk factor for glaucoma (e.i. disclose if an immediate family member has glaucoma). A small amount of people have reported irritation from Latisse®, mainly itching and redness. Less common side effects are skin darkening, eye irritation, and dryness. If you happen to have an unrelated eye surgery during treatment, develop an eye infection, or suffer from worsening eyesight during this time let your prescribing doctor know right away to determine if you can continue use.
